Sustainability is a key element of Polarium’s corporate governance, promoted by the Board of Directors, the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The CEO has the ultimate responsibility for the implementation of Polarium’s sustainability strategy and sustainability integration across functions and teams. At Polarium, sustainability integration is led by the Executive Vice President, Sustainability, who reports to the Executive Vice President & Head of Corporate Affairs and is part of the Executive Leadership Team.
The Board of Directors The Executive Vice President Sustainability reports regularly directly to the Board of Directors regarding key developments related to sustainability.
The Board of Directors’ Audit, Risk and Sustainability Committee The Committee oversees the implementation of Polarium’s Sustainability strategy. It comprises of three board members who are nominated annually by the board. The Executive Vice President Sustainability reports to the Committee on regular basis regarding the continuous development and progress of the sustainability strategy and integration thereof as well as regarding the annual Sustainability Report.
Reporting and Transparency Polarium is committed to transparently report on the progress of our work around sustainability. Through transparent reporting on progress, and challenges that we encounter, we believe that we can contribute to the advancement of sustainability within our sector and in general. By setting ambitious targets and integrating sustainability considerations into daily business activities, we will improve our sustainability performance.
