Ongoing Projects

Solving our customers’ issues
in the most innovative ways

We support customers ranging from telecom operators with tower sites, large-scale manufacturing plants, to the local supermarket with one common challenge: unconditional energy stability, at a reduced energy cost and reduced climate impact. Here are a few of our current ongoing projects.

Agricultural Facility in Japan, for Iwatec Corporation

Green energy tech company Iwatec, located in Satsumasendai, Kagoshima, Japan, will install a Polarium BESS comprising nine 115kWh High-Voltage (HV) indoor racks and solar PV arrays, all integrated into a unique microgrid system. This robust setup not only ensures reliable energy storage but also optimizes the utilization of renewable energy sources, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future for the region. Through the use of solar systems and Polarium’s BESS, Iwatec Agriculture will commence production of premium customer-grade shiitake mushrooms. The factory serves as a model for sustainable farming practices, ensuring the consistent quality of its products but also contributing to the preservation of the local ecosystem – with potential applications in various industrial sectors.

Ica Maxi Kungälv

Ica Maxi Kungälv has taken steps to lower its energy costs by installing a smart Polarium Energy Optimization System. The system is currently being installed, with a 1 MW capacity, representing one of the largest systems ever implemented in a commercial property in Sweden. With a combination of lithium-ion batteries and smart software, the system will identify the optimal time to store or release energy and run automatically for secured reserve power and lowered costs. This means they can lower their grocery prices for customers. In addition, the system will open new sources of revenue by feeding energy back to the grid on the so-called ‘Frequency regulation market’.

Lindberg & Son

Lindberg & Son AB, a leader in the Nordic recycling market, based in Gävle, has installed a Polarium Energy Optimization System with a 700 kWh capacity. The system enables Lindberg & Son to reduce energy costs by avoiding price peaks and create new revenue streams through participation in the ‘Frequency regulation market’. The system is ready for EV charging and solar panel integration, to fully align with Lindberg & Son’s sustainability mission.

Grönlunds Plåt

Grönlunds Plåt, a leading system supplier specializing in sheet metal products, has decided to install a Polarium Energy Optimization System with a capacity of 942 kWh at its location in Skara. The system enables Grönlunds Plåt to reduce energy costs by avoiding price peaks and create new revenue streams through participation in the ‘Frequency regulation market. Also, adding an intelligent energy storage was a natural continuation of Grönlunds Plåt’s previous investment in solar panels and a step towards a becoming more energy efficient. The final installation is expected to take place in H2 2023.

Osby Glas

Osby Glas, a Swedish glass processing company has installed a Polarium Energy Optimization System with a capacity of 1200 kWh at its location in Osby. The system will enable Osby Glas to secure reserve power by maintaining uptime and avoiding blackouts, reduce energy costs by avoiding price peaks, create new revenue streams through participation in the ‘Frequency regulation market’, and establish energy independence by maximizing the opportunity of renewable production.
