Here’s how we do it with a multi-layered security approach:

Delay: The first line of defense in Polarium’s system is a patent-pending locking mechanism that secures batteries with locking modules at both the top and bottom of the battery string. This feature makes unauthorized removal of batteries significantly more challenging and time-consuming, deterring potential thieves.

Disable: The Battery Management System (BMS) includes an internal accelerometer that detects tilting or force. If such disturbances exceed a user-defined threshold, the system automatically disables the battery. This proactive measure ensures that even if a theft attempt occurs, the stolen battery becomes unusable. The battery can however be re-enabled through Polarium Studio after recovery.

Track: In case of theft, Polarium’s system allows real-time tracking of stolen batteries using the Polarium Edge Connectivity Module. This feature uses global cellular networks and geofencing to communicate the battery’s location to operators, recovery teams and law enforcement, aiding recovery in remote regions.
