Polarium was founded on the belief that safe, smart, and sustainable energy storage is vital to achieving a truly sustainable energy future. As an impact-driven company, we empower the global energy transformation by enabling renewables, electrification, and intermittent power supply. We began by providing energy storage solutions for the telecom sector and have since expanded our offerings to include the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Over the years, we have pioneered modular battery technology that is not only state-of-the-art but also adaptable to meet the demands of today and tomorrow. Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Polarium serves customers worldwide, with manufacturing facilities in South Africa, and Vietnam. Our expertise spans the entire production pipeline, from designing lithium battery modules to manufacturing and commissioning complete energy storage solutions. Every Polarium solution is crafted by our in-house experts, ensuring quality and precision. Circularity is embedded into our business and customer strategy, product design, resource use, and process to recycling and reuse. Our award-winning designs have been recognized by the IF Design Award and Red Dot.
2016: Launched our first generation of lithium-ion batteries. 2017: Achieved ISO certification for our products and signed our first global contracts. 2019: Gained recognition as a global leader in lithium batteries for telecom applications. 2020: Expanded into energy storage solutions for the commercial and industrial sectors. 2023: Introduced our residential energy storage solution, Homevolt, and inaugurated our Technology Center, Polarium X. 2025: Marking 10 years of transforming energy storage with over 440,000 batteries installed across 70+ countries.
