Sophia Bendz to Join Polarium’s Board of Directors

Storing renewable energy so that it can be used not only when produced, but when it is needed, is one of the greatest barriers to the clean energy transition. Energy storage is the missing link in the sustainable energy system. Polarium is on a mission to unlock endless energy. Polarium supports customers ranging from telecom operators with tower sites, large-scale manufacturing plants, to the local community with one common challenge: unconditional energy stability, at a reduced energy cost and reduced climate impact.

Sophia is a Partner at Cherry Ventures which she joined from Atomico, where she also served as Partner and created the firm's well-known Angel Program. Sophia also served as Spotify's Global Marketing Director, developing the audio platform into an international household name. She also acts as Board Director at the non-profit organization Race for the Baltic, is cofounder of AllBright.se, and is an innovation advisor to the Swedish Prime Minister.

Johan Dennelind who has served as a board member since 2021 will not stand for re-election. As an industrial advisor to Vargas, Johan will focus on alternative holdings and companies within the sphere.
