“The idea behind partnering with Polarium was to validate their BESS and the power boost technology. If the grid capacity is limited and our clients cannot provide more power to their charging plugs, the BESS kicks in and complements the grid capacity by supplementing the power to the DC chargers. This strategic solution ensures faster charging times for especially larger vehicles, while the dynamic power distribution delivers the right amount of power across all charging plugs,” says Bruno Moedim.

Adding to this, Polarium’s BESS provides new market opportunities in terms of buying and selling energy from the grid. The batteries can absorb cheap energy when electricity prices are low, to discharge it when prices are high. This not only reduces operational costs but also contributes to the provision of more renewable electricity within the grid.

We aim to have the highest uptime in the industry to maintain our commitment to delivering reliable charging solutions, and currently, it’s over 99 percent. With that said, we wanted to make sure that the BESS’s availability meets our standards. Polarium’s modular propagation protection system is a perfect fit in this regard,” says Bruno Moedim.
