Johan Dennelind joins Polarium’s board of directors
1st February, 2021Polarium is proud to announce the appointment of Johan Dennelind as the newest member of its board of directors as well as an investor in the company.
“We’re delighted to welcome Johan as a board member and investor in Polarium. Johan is one of the most experienced business leaders in the telecom sector. He has an excellent understanding of the opportunities and challenges mobile operators face in the 5G-era and shares our passion for using cutting-edge technologies to build a more sustainable future,” says Stefan Jansson, CEO and founder of Polarium.
Polarium started six years ago with an idea of how lithium powered back-up solutions for the global telecom market could empower a smart and sustainable world. In late 2020, the company expanded into the rapidly growing energy storage market for commercial and industrial applications. To date, Polarium has completed over 250,000 installations in more than 50 countries on all continents and all climate zones – from the Equator to the Arctic.
“In a world where everything is connected, connectivity must never be lost. An increasingly connected world needs great power back-up and storage. And lots of it. Meanwhile, the telecom network of the future needs to be smarter, greener, and more cost-effective. Polarium has a proven track record of addressing these challenges in a truly meaningful way. I’m very excited to be contributing to Polarium’s growth journey going forward and build on the success that Stefan and his team has achieved,” says Johan Dennelind.
Dennelind has more than 25 years’ experience in leading positions in the telecom sector, including CEO of Telia Company, the leading telecom operator in the Nordics and Baltics. He has also held senior management positions in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East with companies such as Vodafone, Telenor and du. Dennelind also served six years as a board member of GSMA, the global industry association for mobile operators.
